What is OpenMRS?

It is a network of volunteers from around the world with the same goal of improvising health equipments, providing adequate medical care and developing technologies in the medical field.
They support and work together to provide all these facilities in untouched regions of the world like Northern Kenya. They are located all around the world. 

OpenMRS Application:

OpenMRS application enables design of a customised medical records system with no programming knowledge. It enables input, output and storage. This helps many people who wants to do good and requires medical assistance without the knowledge of code.  It is a open source and an application that is not Operating System oriented. This makes many people to access OpenMRS.

An view and approach towards OpenMRS as a whole:

The aim:

To improvise health equipments and implementation all over the world especially in inaccessible areas.

The goal:

Improving health delivery in resource contained areas of the world.

How is it being done?

OpenMRS is an Open Medical Record System which is an open source medical record system in developing countries. It does not require any programming language. It enables input, output and storage. Easily, Patient record system can be done using this. It also contains definitions of all data in the applications. The OpenMRS API wraps the whole thing up into a program.
